Immigrant Housing Survey 2019

Thank you for taking the time to fill out this survey.  It should take between 10 to 15 minutes to complete.

The information we gather through the survey will be used by the Guelph Wellington Local Immigration Partnership to better understand the challenges and opportunities that immigrants face accessing housing in Guelph and Wellington County.  We will use the information to prepare a report that will be used by GWLIP to ensure that the immigrants’ voice is reflected in planning and provision of housing by participating in existing housing initiatives.

To fill out this survey, you must:
  • Be an immigrant to Canada
  • Live in Guelph or Wellington County
  • Be 18 years of age or older
Participants who complete the survey will be entered into a draw to receive one of several $25 gift cards. This is a limit of one $25 gift card per participant.

This survey is voluntary and you can stop at any time. However, only participants who complete the survey will be eligible to receive a gift card.

All information will be kept confidential. Only those directly involved in this project (researchers and project staff) will have access to the information. Your completed survey will be assigned a number, which will increase the likelihood of confidentiality. Your name and contact information will not be connected to your survey responses and will only be used for the purposes of mailing a gift card. You will be asked to provide your name and contact information for this purpose at the end of the survey. After the project, the data – all of which will have been made anonymous so that no individual can be identified – will be archived securely. Any personal information will be used only for the purposes stated above, and in accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA).

The final report, based on this survey, will be available on the GWLIP website by early 2020 (www.guelphwellingtonlip.ca).

Alternate formats of this survey are available upon request in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005.
